A few years ago I was knitting warm slippers for my dolls. There were new wool with short fluffy hairs to buy. This gave me the idea! With added small ears, they looked like small dog or bear or even bunnies. Two black, shiny beads sewn on for eyes and a little nose and little mouth embroidered with pearl cotton - and finish were the sweet slippers!
On the craft market, many people were very sad that this little slippers were not available in larger size for living babies! I too could imagine that it would look very nice, and I tried to knit the slippers larger and with material which was more child-friendly. The success came immediately.
